Christ Episcopal School takes hands-on learning seriously… even if it means playing in the dirt!
Former CES Science Teacher, Mrs. Fennelly, is working with our Kindergarten and 5th Grade students on a gardening unit this spring. They plan to build raised beds for veggies, herbs, and flowers, and install an outdoor learning space on campus complete with log seating under a big shade tree.
Head of School Mrs. Stone writes, “Tactile, hands-on learning complemented by a strong curriculum is integral to our whole child education.”
Stay tuned for more updates as we transform the Hillstrom House backyard into a student-run garden on campus!
CES graduates leave with a deep sense of their responsibilities as members of the world community.”
