On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, CES traditionally holds the annual “Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day.” This year, over 160 visitors attended the event! The day included breakfast, classroom visits, and a chapel service with student musical performances. During the classroom visits, teachers prepared special interactive lessons for the students to share with their special guests. A particularly active lesson was Sra. Johnson’s Louder! Hit that piñata! lesson, which saw grandparents all taking turns whacking a colorful burro piñata. Other lessons included poetry readings, art projects, and geography games.
Head of School, Nicole Stone, wrote in a recent newsletter, “There was so much excitement and pride in the air, and I loved how the students were so eager to include their families in their school life.”
Thank you to all those who visited our campus last week!
CES graduates leave with a deep sense of their responsibilities as members of the world community.”
