CES Cardinals use their wings to fly after graduation!
Juliette Mamalian (’21) will be joining the Pre-Professional Training Division of the Ballet West Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah this fall. Her mother, Cyndy Mamalian, writes, “After spending five weeks at Ballet West this summer, she is eager to continue training and dancing with this amazing company!”
Juliette spent time this summer at Ballet West’s Summer Intensive, a program recognized as one of the top in the nation. As stated on the program’s website, “The BWA Summer Intensive focuses on developing well-rounded dancers through exposure to a wide variety of disciplines with an emphasis on classical ballet technique and key elements.”
After completing the Summer Intensive, Juliette was invited to join the Pre-Professional Training Division of the Ballet West Academy, and was awarded a scholarship and placed in the highest level. “Students at this level study 6 days per week in ballet curriculum and also in the additional dance genres necessary for their preparation for a professional dance career,” the program states.
In addition to dancing six days per week, Juliette will also complete her remaining classes with Winston Churchill High School.
CES graduates leave with a deep sense of their responsibilities as members of the world community.”
