Seeking substitute teachers for our small independent school!

Christ Episcopal School (CES), a small, independent school in downtown Rockville, serving students from preschool through grade 8, is seeking substitute teachers to work during the 2022-2023 school year. Substitute teaching offers candidates an opportunity to maintain experience in education and get to know the administration and teachers at our school. We offer small class sizes and a warm, supportive community.

Substitute teachers are responsible for delivering daily lessons, collecting assignments, monitoring student behavior, and other duties as required. We have needs in the following subjects:

  • Lower School classrooms
  • Middle School (English, Social Studies, Math, Science)
  • Preschool

  • Front Office

To be considered for the position, you must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and some experience in child education. Final candidates for all positions at CES must successfully complete a required background check.

Please send resume and cover letter to Becky Filderman, Lower School Head at bfilderman@cesrockville.org.
