How To Apply

1. Schedule a CES Tour with Janet Gerber, Director of Admission.
2. Submit the CES Admission Application and $100 application fee through the TADS Admission and Enrollment system.
3. If your child has attended another preschool or a daycare center, please sign and ask your child's teacher/daycare provider to complete the Independent School Preschool-Grade 1 Teacher Recommendation Form and send it to the CES Admissions Office, 107 S. Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850 or jgerber@cesrockville.org.

• Each prospective Preschool student attends a play visit on campus with one of our Preschool teachers.
• For mid-year admission to classes with space available, children come to the Preschool for individually scheduled play visits.
• Children must be of age (2, 3, or 4 years old, depending upon class of interest) by September 1 to attend Preschool.

3. The Director of Admission will schedule an in-person visit where your child will complete Kindergarten readiness activities or grade level assessments in reading, writing, and math.

Grades K -1: Sign and give the Independent School Preschool-Grade 1 Teacher Recommendation Form and Transcript Release Form to your child's current school and ask that the school documents be sent to the CES Admissions Office, 107 S. Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850 or jgerber@cesrockville.org.

Grades 2 - 4: Sign and give the Independent School Common Recommendation Form and Transcript Release Form to your child's current school and ask that the school documents be sent to the CES Admissions Office, 107 S. Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850 or jgerber@cesrockville.org.

Grades 6 - 8: Sign and give the Independent School Common Teacher Recommendation Form (any teacher of your choice), English Teacher Recommendation Form, Math Teacher Recommendation Form and Transcript Release Form to your child's current school and ask that the school documents be sent to the CES Admissions Office, 107 S. Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850 or jgerber@cesrockville.org.
