 Virtual Reality Game Design with Unity Camp

Sponsored by C3 Cyber Club

A camp for rising 4th-8th graders

June 26 – 30     9:00 am - 12:00 pm

(Care available from 8:00 - 4:30 pm for additional fees--see Camp Cardinal)

$250 one week session

Description: Virtual Reality is a rapidly growing technology.  In this class, students will learn how to create their very own 3D environments and design a VR game using Unity and the Samsung Gear VR. Children will utilize various concepts, such as scenes, assets, triggers, and scripting, in order to create a functioning game. String Orchestra Camp

July 9 -- 13     9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Ages: rising 5th-9th graders with at least one year of experience on their instrument

 


$250 one week session

Description: Students will spend a week in intensive rehearsals and sectionals.  Lessons will include techniques such as vibrato, improvisation, and conducting.  Students will break into sectionals to focus on instrument specific skills. The orchestra will prepare pieces for a final performance on Friday, July 14th. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the performance. Students must have a t least 1 year of experience on their instrument, and must be able to read notes. Headed To Broadway! Camp

July 16 – July 23, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Ages:  Rising 6th-9th graders

$275 for one week session

Come sing, dance, and act your hearts out performing scenes and songs from some of your favorite shows! Students will be learning what it means to be a Broadway star, culminating in their very own theatrical showcase at the end of the week. This camp is meant both for students already bitten by the theatre bug and those just wanting to try something new!  This program is being offered for the first time by former CES teacher, Aaron Dunn (husband of current CES teacher, Jenni Dunn).

 

 

Fashion Designer Camp

A camp for children ages 8-14 years

July 30 – August 3, 9:00 a.m. – noon

(Care available from 8:00 - 4:30 pm for additional fees--see Camp Cardinal)

$225 one week session

Description:  Students will learn about the basics of design including clothes design, color, style combination, collection, and overall shape. Students will work with different fabrics, thread and needle to sew handmade combination clothes. Students will complete a wearable piece and organize a fashion show displaying their pieces.  There will be a Fashion show on August 3rd. Parents are invited to come in 30 min before the end of the class to participate on the art show.

 

Advanced Drawing and Painting Camp

A camp for children ages 8-14 years

August 6 -- August 10, 9:00 a.m. – noon

(Care available from 8:00 - 4:30 pm for additional fees--see Camp Cardinal)

$225 one week session

Description:  Students will experiment with multiple mediums and build confidence in creating meaningful, complete artworks. They will learn and explore famous artist and art movements in Art History and apply it on their own art pieces.  There will be an art show on July 27th exhibiting all the students’ artwork. Parents are invited to come in 30 min before the end of the class to participate on the art show.

A minimum of 4 campers is required/maximum 14.

 

Comics and Animation Camp

A camp for children ages 8-14 years

August 13 -- 17, 9:00 a.m. – noon

(Care available from 8:00 - 4:30 pm for additional fees--see Camp Cardinal)

$225 one week session

Description: Students will learn to develop stories, characters and the fundamental elements of comics and animation. The emphasis is on storying telling in comics – from writing a script, to drawing single panel and three panel comics, and finally developing a comics book.  There will be an art show on July 20th exhibiting all the students’ artwork. Parents are invited to come in 30 min before the end of the class to participate on  the art show.

A minimum of 4 campers is required/maximum 14.
