Meet Our Parents

Prescott B., Current Parent of Two

One of my favorite things about CES is the way every member of the community is willing to pitch in and help out. Whether it is a 4th grader on the playground with a kindergartner, an 8th grader stopping to help a new middle-schooler, or a parent taking precious time off from work to volunteer, for six years I've seen this common thread. The teachers set this standard for the whole community. Parents see their kids pick it up from their teachers. Then we all want to participate because the kids are so excited.

As a CES parent, I have learned a lot about what makes a caring community...and take comfort in knowing my daughter is learning the same.

The way students from the upper and lower schools greet each other by name in the hallways speaks to the sense of community that CES fosters.  Our son found a truly supportive community—one invested in seeing each child grow, learn, mature, and shine.

Roxanne E., Alumni Parent

My son recently became a CES alum, after attending this wonderful school from Preschool through his 8th grade graduation.  CES gave him a truly outstanding education and instilled a joy of learning and moral compass, which have contributed to his being the bright, kind, caring student he is at one of the most prestigious high schools in the DC area.

With access to an outstanding educational program, state of the art technology resources, focus on personal relationships and social responsibility, I have watched my children, over the past 4 years, blossom into more confident and well-rounded individuals at CES.  It is evident that CES stands strongly behind their motto: “Inspiring Minds to Learn, Hearts to Love, Hands to Serve”.
