Christ Episcopal Church

Christ Episcopal School is a mission of Christ Episcopal Church, which is the foundation from which our school and campus grew and continues to be the spiritual foundation of school life.

Formed in 1739, Christ Church is the enduring core church of colonial Prince George's Parish. The Reverend George Murdock, a Marylander ordained in London's St. Paul's Cathedral in 1724, was our first rector. Now part of the Diocese of Washington, Christ Episcopal Church continues to offer traditional Anglican liturgy in ways that reflect the cultural diversity of our Parish today. We are an international, intergenerational, and multilingual Congregation, committed to the belief that God loves everyone--no exceptions.
