Performing Arts

Performance takes many forms, and includes informal and formal musical presentations (vocal and instrumental) as well as dramatic skits and plays. While formal classes in drama are not offered, students are given many opportunities to act and role play within their classrooms as well as for larger community gatherings and programs.

Venues include regular classrooms, the Music Studio, the Chapel, the Murdock Room, and professional theaters such as the F. Scott Fitzgerald Center in Rockville, Maryland.

In addition, students participate in a number of performing events with students from other schools, such as singing at Episcopal Schools Day at the National Cathedral or marching in the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C.
